James is one of five survivors but is now suffering from acute respiratory failure due to airway obstruction by scar tissue. He was given an emergency tracheotomy (temporary). James cannot speak and his breathing is still partly obstructed thus he must have this specialized surgery (ASAP) to survive and, hopefully, regain a normal life.
Although the community and school department had raised substantial funds, these were already all expended on the six surviving students (now only five as Justine passed away in late March). At least 130,000 Php ($2,500) is needed to bring James to Cebu and pay for the hospitalization and surgery. 100% of funds donated will be used for James' immediate care!
