Everyone starts from the threshold of any game before becoming a master. During the competition, the players show their individuals’ ingenuity how to supersede the approaches of his opponent in order to win. Players’ tactics and stragies are resolutely originated and derived from their respective mentors. Jan Kayla Anlap, Mona Marcelo and Brian Gaga-a were the selected students of Basay National High School participated and noted that the seminar was also intended to help future chess masters gain self-confidence, self-esteem, discipline, maturity, and foster camaraderie among themselves. During clinic sessions, participants learned basic chess moves as well as complicated techniques like the triangulation method and the different types of tactics.
