dOn August 3, 2015, the nurses and midwives from the Department of Health of the Municipality of Basay were sent to Basay National High School to conduct immunization to Grade VII students. This is one of the outreach programs of the DOH to resolve ongoing health problems face by some students in other places.
Students were given Measles-Rubella (MR) and Tetanus-Diptheria (TD) vaccines. Preceding to the said activity, students were obliged to have parents consent signed by the latter in order to receive the vaccines. Some were receptive to have the vaccine but few declined to have vaccinated.
